    FAQ

What is the arrival and departure time?

Whether at the B&B or the hotel, the check-out time is at 12:00 PM. The check-in time is set at 3:00 PM, but it is flexible if rooms are available. If you arrive earlier, we invite you to relax by the pool and enjoy a drink while we put the finishing touches on your room.

What deposit is required to book your stay, and what are your payment methods?

A 30% deposit is required for any reservation. The balance is due 30 days before the arrival date.

The confirmation of your reservation and the receipt of your deposit will be sent to you by email.

What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?

We understand that there may be unforeseen circumstances, so we will work with you to allow you to experience the journey in the near future. As a small seasonal business, cancellations have a significant impact, which is why we only offer travel credits.

    Here is our cancellation policy:

    • The deposit is non-refundable.

    • 30 to 45 days before arrival: we offer you 70% of the value of your trip as a travel credit, valid for 24 months.

    • 15 to 29 days before arrival: we offer you 30% of the value of your trip as a travel credit, valid for 24 months.

*For cancellations made less than 15 days before the departure date, unfortunately, we cannot offer credit.

How many people can sleep in your rooms?

HOTEL: The hotel offers rooms with 1 or 2 Queen beds.

CASA BAJA LIFE: We have 2 rooms with Queen beds, and 1 room with a double bed.

Do all the rooms have their own private bathroom and air conditioning?

For your comfort, all our rooms have their own private bathroom and air conditioning.

Do you have a swimming pool?

Both accommodation options offer a pool for you to relax and refresh.

    Is Wifi free?

All our accommodations have free WiFi.

Can we walk to the restaurants, shops, and bars?

La Paz is a city where everything is accessible on foot or by bike. If you prefer to travel by car, you can use Uber/Didi to get around for about $2 per person.

Casa Baja Life is within a 20-25 minute walking distance from the charming malecon (seaside promenade), which is less than 2 km away. The picturesque streets leading to the city center are safe, and it’s easy to navigate around the city. There are also our favorite restaurants and grocery stores very close to our house.

The hotel is located in the historic district of La Paz and very close to the Malecon.

Are there beaches near the accommodations?

La Paz is a unique destination where beaches are deserted, without hotels or restaurants, which is still very rare and especially different from destinations where the hotel-beach concept prevails. The most beautiful beaches such as Balandra, Tecolote are about 25 minutes away (bus ride from the beach or Uber), but once you see these beaches, with Balandra considered one of the most beautiful in the world, they will become your top choice. Other smaller beaches are less than 10 minutes away by Uber or even 20 minutes by bike. There are small beaches along the Malecon, but they are more for reading, enjoying the sunset, or simply relaxing.

Note: All Baja Life Tours include time spent at the beach.

Is it possible to rent bikes?

Absolutely, although the streets of La Paz can be very narrow, and traffic can be quite dense during the high season. Therefore, it is wonderful and safe to bike on the bike path. La Paz’s bike path extends for several kilometers along the sea, providing a magnificent way to explore La Paz.

How much should we budget for meals not included?

Exploring the local taco stand, trying our favorite seafood restaurant, and savoring authentic ‘churros’ are also part of the Baja Life experience. In our La Paz guide, you’ll have plenty of choices based on your budget. From a $7 tacos and beer lunch to a stylish and romantic restaurant at $25, there are dining options for every budget. We recommend budgeting $35-40 per day per person, excluding your outings to bars and terraces.
